Carrol Reichenbach was a member of Emmanuel UCC
Carrol M, Reichenbach, 92, died April 12, 2017, at Bluffton Hospital. Carrol was born April 1, 1925, in Rockford, Ohio, to the late Russell and Elverda (Mack) Goodwin. On Jan. 14, 1955, she married Robert Reichenbach who preceded her in death on Jan. 19, 2015.
She had been a cashier at Newberry's in Lima and later at the Beaverdam Truck Stop. Carrol was a 4-H Advisor and was active in the Bluffton Music Boosters while her children were in school. She was a member of the Emmanuel United Church of Christ in Bluffton where she had been a Sunday School teacher.
Survivors include four daughters, Marilyn (Robert) Blank of Pandora, Debra (Rick) Krummrey of Alger, Barbara Beaver of Findlay, Sharon (Jim) Shoemaker of Bluffton; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Barbara Mayer of Lima; and a brother-in-law, Roy (Iwona) Reichenbach of McLean, Virginia; long-time Bingo friend, Betty Soust of Elida; and long-time beautician and friend, Treva Stratton of Bluffton.
Carrol was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Carl Goodwin.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, April 17, at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton. Pastor Jeremy Mann officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Bluffton following the service.
Visitation will be Monday, April 17, from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Emmanuel United Church of Christ or the Maple Crest Senior Living Activities Fund.
