Hancock sheriff: Two deaths are drug related
The Hancock County Sheriff’s Office said the deaths of a male and female in a rural Ada house Monday night appear be drug related. The bodies have been sent to Lucas County for autopsy.
The deaths were not the result of violent crime, the sheriff’s office said.
The bodies were found about 9 p.m. Monday in a residence at 23287 Township Road 56, Ada, north of U.S. 30 between Ada and Bluffton. A friend of the two was attempting to pick up a title of a car he had recently purchased and could not get ahold of the two via phone. He went over to check on them, sheriff’s Lt. Chris Bell said, and called the sheriff’s office once he had discovered the bodies.
The female was identified as 18-year-old Marie R. Beach, formerly of Lima. Sheriff’s Capt. Roger Treece identified the man as Blake Kendrick, 23, who resided at the residence.
The home where the bodies were found was owned by the late Steven E. Dotson, according to the Hancock County auditor’s website.
