Visitation for Adam Schattschneider on Thursday
Adam James Schattschneider, 51, died June 26, 2017, at St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima. Adam was born March 24, 1966, in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, to Donald and Marion (Mistelske) Schattschneider.
Adam received his bachelor’s degree from University of Minnesota - Duluth, his Master's of Music from Indiana University - Bloomington and his Doctor of Music in Woodwind Pedagogy from Indiana University - Bloomington. Adam was a professor of music at Bluffton University. He was a member of English Lutheran Church in Bluffton.
Survivors include his mother, Marion Schattschneider of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota; two daughters, Leah Schattschneider and Haley Schattschneider both of Wapakoneta; two brothers, Joel (Gloria) Schattschneider of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, Glen Schattschneider of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota; sister, Jill Petree of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota; two nephews, Jesse (Gloria) Schattschneider of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, Dallas Petree of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota; a niece, Bobbi Jo (Wayne) Koons of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota.
Adam was preceded in death by his father, Donald Schattschneider.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 30, at English Lutheran Church, Bluffton. Pastor Kevin Mohr officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 3 - 8 p.m. at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the English Lutheran Church Music Ministries.
