Bluffton Cattle 4-H Club donate 225 treat bags to Ronald McDonald House
By Branson HIlty, club reporter
On Sunday, July 16, one of Bluffton’s 4-H clubs completed their community service project for this year. The Bluffton Cattle 4-H Club’s community service project was to collect pop tabs, prepare non-perishable treat bags, and then hand deliver these items to the Ronald McDonald House in Toledo.
They presented 225 non-perishable treat bags to those who are staying there and over 45 pounds of pop tabs. The bags went to help those who are staying at the Ronald McDonald House while they travel outside of the Toledo area for their child’s medical care.
Pop tabs were collected to help fund the Ronald McDonald House. One of our group members, Riley, donated 40 pounds of pop tabs herself!
The Bluffton Cattle Club is just not a club of students who take cattle to the Allen County Fair. We also take rabbits, shop & crop projects, natural resource projects, science & technology projects, gardening plant science projects, and chickens.
This club also represents three different school districts (Allen East, Bath, & Bluffton) and has 11 members.
The members are Jason Althaus - Club President, Brittany Goodman - Club Vice President, Clair Armentrout - Club Treasure, Courtney Goodman - Club Secretary, Branson Hilty - Club News Reporter, Riley Webb - Club Health Reporter, Sophie Zeller - Club Safety Reporter, Zoe Zeller - Club Recreation Leader, Hutson Phillips - Club Flag Leader, Landon Sehlhorst - Club Member, and Amanda Bowers - Club Member.
Come out to the Allen County Fair (August 18-26) to see what each of these members have accomplished this year.
