Blanchard Valley Hospital recognized as a High Performing Hospital in knee replacements
Blanchard Valley Hospital has been recognized by U.S News and World Report as a high performing hospital for knee replacements. Blanchard Valley Hospital also holds high performing ratings in Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), colon cancer surgery, heart failure and hip replacement.
“Blanchard Valley Hospital is proud to have earned this distinction and believe it is proof of our commitment to quality, patient-centered care,” said Chris Keller, vice president of clinical services.
U.S. News evaluates the performance of more than 4,500 hospitals in nine inpatient surgical procedures and chronic conditions: colon cancer surgery, lung cancer surgery, heart bypass surgery, aortic valve surgery, abdominal aortic aneurysm repair, hip replacement, knee replacement, heart failure and COPD. Rather than numerical rankings, hospitals are given a rating of high performing, average or below average in each category.
