Meet Bluffton's two newest health providers
Bluffton’s newest health provider brings a physician and family nurse practitioner to the community. Both are accepting new patients. The provider, Mercy Health-Bluffton Family Medicine, at 204 N. Main St., opened on Sept. 11.
The two new health providers are Dr. Anna Kauffman, MD, of Bluffton, and Abbie Nartker, FNP, of Kalida.
Anna Kauffman
Before joining Mercy Health, Dr. Kauffman was a family physician at Community Health and Wellness Partners of Logan County, Russells Point. In addition she continues to serve as an emergency physician for TeamHealth, Mary Rutan Hospital, Bellefontaine. She also is a clinical assistant professor of family medicine at Wright State University’s Boonshoft School of Medicine.
Born in Ohio and the daughter of a dad in the military, Kauffman moved around the United States as a youngster.
She graduated from the University of Virginia and then enrolled at the Yale University School of Medicine, where she graduated in 2010.
She and her husband, Ross, are parents of a 13-month-old daughter, Nora.
Abbie Nartker
Nartker a native of Ottoville, holds an associate of science degree from Rhodes State College and a bachelor’s degree from Ohio Northern University. In 2011 she received a master’s degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of Cincinnati.
Prior to coming to Bluffton she was a family nurse practitioner at St. Rita’s Urgent Care/Delphos Ambulatory Care, and later at Mercy Defiance Clinic, internal medicine.
From 2014 until coming to Bluffton, she was a family nurse practitioner at the Ohio Northern University Health Center.
She and her husband, David, are parents of one son and one daughter.

• Mondays 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
• Tuesdays through Thursdays 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
• Fridays 8 a.m. to noon
Mercy Health – Bluffton Family Medicine will hold an open house on Friday, Oct. 6, from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event features a Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting at noon. Tours of the facility take place from 12:15 to 2 p.m. Light refreshments will be available.
