Joyce Cupples was a 1961 Bluffton HS graduate
Joyce Elaine Cupples, 74, died on Sept. 27, 2017, at the home of her daughter in Monticello, Wisc., after a two-year battle with metastatic ovarian cancer.
Joyce was born on Feb. 12, 1943, in Bluffton to the late Grant Wayne and Pauline Mae (Badertscher) Zimmerman.
She was preceded in death by her husband John Fox, of Ada, and was married to Robert Cupples on Aug. 7, 2010.
Joyce was employed as an administrative assistant at Ohio Northern University and at the Ada First United Methodist Church. After retirement, Joyce volunteered at Lima Memorial Hospital.
She was a 1961 graduate of Bluffton High School.
Joyce is also survived by two daughters, Jeana Gillaspie of Monticello, Wisc., and JoEllen (Matthew) Redshaw of McCordsville, Ind.; two step-daughters Natalie (Mark) Pickering of Johnson City, Tenn., and Nicole (Tien Bui) Cupples of San Antonio, Texas; a sister, Karen (Vernon) Hall of Marion; and a brother, Gary (Deborah) Zimmerman of Altamonte Spring, Fla.
Also surviving are grandchildren: Laura, Delenn, and Gossard Gillaspie, Cooper and Sydney Redshaw and Seilah and Carston Pickering.
A celebration of life service will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 7, at the First United Methodist Church, Ada with Pastor Brandi Grant-Rigsby officiating.
Interment of ashes will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ada.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 6, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada, and one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.
Memorial contributions can be made to Ada First United Methodist Church or donor's choice.
