Women's Soccer drops finale 1-0 at Transy

LEXINGTON, Ky. - The Bluffton University women's soccer team held Transylvania at bay for over 89 minutes, but the Pioneers found the back of the net with 35 seconds to play for a 1-0 shutout of the Beavers. Bluffton wrapped up its 2017 campaign with a 3-14 mark, including 2-7 in the Heartland Conference. Transy improved to 6-9-3 and 4-4-1 in the HCAC.
Lindsay Sizemore found Megan Wall in the 90th minute, denying Bluffton a chance to go to overtime in the season finale. The Pioneers piled up a 43-2 advantage in shots, including 15-0 on frame. Transy forced all 14 corner kicks in the match, while Bluffton finished with one more foul (4-3).
Bluffton would like to thank Brittany Huff (Union/Northmont) and Katelyn Gardella (Troy/Miami East) for all their work over the past four years!
