Council will act on 2018 annual appropriations on Monday
Bluffton council will hear a report from its safety services committee on Monday.
The committee held two meeting earlier this month. On Nov. 14 the committee’s focus was the 2018 police department budget. On Nov. 20 the committee’s focus was on the 2018 fire department and EMS budget.
Don Croy of the Blanchard River Watershed Partnership is on the agenda. The village is a member of the partnership.
The council will also act on first readings of three ordinances and one resolution. The ordinances concern:
• Establishing a Police K-9 fund
• Approving the 2018 fiscal year annual appropriations
• Adopting the Ohio Basic Code, 2018
In addition a second ready of the repeal of the surcharge on water and sewer rates will be read. At the Nov. 13 meeting council attempted to pass it as an emergency, but that failed by a 4-2 vote.
