Students in Bluffton schools appear to be learning faster than those in almost every other school system in the nation.
That fact is evident in new data from Stanford University.
This information is from a New York Times story dated Dec. 5 titled "How effective is your school district?" CLICK HERE FOR THAT STORY.

The data compares students’ third grade scores to scores when those students are eighth grader.
That data shows that Bluffton Exempted Village Schools students are in the 95th percentile nationwide for the amount of growth our students make between 3rd grade and 8th grade.
Bluffton students are making around 5.8 years of growth over that 5-year time frame, according to the study.
Greg Denecker, Bluffton superintendent shared this information with the Icon.
He said that he was alerted to Bluffton’s high percentile from BHS graduate Evan McCarthy, who is employed by a school system in Florida.
