Jo Ann King was a 1955 graduate of Lafayette-Jackson High School
Jo Ann King, 80 of Bluffton, died Dec. 17, 2017, at Mennonite Memorial Home.
Jo Ann was born Jan. 20, 1937 in Lima, OH, to George and Birtha (Zimmerly) Nichols, who preceded her in death. On June 17, 1956, she married William P. "Bill" King, who preceded her in death on July 31, 2011.
Jo Ann graduated from Lafayette-Jackson High School in 1955; she was a homemaker and loved to be around her family. Jo Ann was very involved with Harrod United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women's group. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary at Bath Fire Department. Jo
She is survived by her sons, Anthony Wayne (Barbara J.) King of Hudson, Ind., and Alan P. King of Westerville; daughter, Terri Graham of Westerville; grandchildren, Jordan W.R. King, Kaitlynn E.A. (Andrew Probst) King, Ashleigh R. J. King, Amber Brodman, Jared Brodman, Jenna Brodman, Amber King and Autumn Taylor; great-grandchildren, Drew Brodman, Jarilyn Brodman, DeAndre Nassar, Ayana Brodman and Kenny Taylor; brother, Richard (Terry Ballinger) Nichols; sister-in-law, Jill Nichols and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Jo Ann is preceded in death by her brother, Dean Nichols and sister, Mary Lou Biederman.
Funeral service will be held December 20, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at Chiles-Laman Funeral and Cremation Services, Eastside Chapel with Rev. Charles Fuerstenau and Rev. Gregg King to officiate the service. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery following the service.
Friends may call Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Harrod United Methodist Church and the American Heart Association.
