Jay Bosse was lifelong farmer
Jay A. Bosse, 61, of rural Orange Township, died at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 31, 2017, at his home. Jay was born on Nov. 15, 1956, in Bluffton, Ohio, to Ernest W. and Naomi L. (Burkholder) Bosse.
Jay married Donna J. Daft on June 20, 1981 and she survives. Also surviving are three daughters: Michelle (Justin) Craig of rural Rawson, Brooke (Jason) Bormuth of rural Bluffton, and Kimberly (Isaac) Hughes of Toledo; a brother, Jeffery A. Bosse of Findlay; and seven grandchildren, Trevor Hibbard; Thomas Craig; Jossalyn Craig; Molly Craig; Abram Bormuth; Thaddeus Bormuth and Trinity Hughes.
Jay was a 1975 graduate of Cory-Rawson High School where he was active in
football, wrestling and FFA. He was a lifetime farmer, and sold Pioneer Seed for 15 years and Beck's Seed for 13 years. To Jay, farming was more than a vocation, it was a way of life. He was a member, and former board member, of Bethel Church of Christ, serving on several building projects.
Visitation for friends and family will be from 2-5 and 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday,
Jan. 3, at Crates Funeral Home, Arlington, and one hour prior to the service (10-11 a.m.) at the church.
A funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 4, at Bethel Church of Christ, rural Ada. Reverend Randy Allen will officiate. Burial will follow at the
Thompson Cemetery, Orange Township. Memorials in his memory may be made to the Bethel Church of Christ or the Cory-Rawson FFA.
