Rally Sunday, ice cream social at English Lutheran Sept. 12
English Lutheran Church will kick-off its fall Sunday School program on Sunday, Sept. 12, according to Rev. Kevin Mohr, pastor.
Worship will be at 9 a.m. followed by a combined inter-generational Sunday school celebration at 10:15 a.m. The theme for this year's event is "Good News Clues: Discover Jesus!"
"Good News Clues: Discover Jesus" is a Bible-based investigation of clues from Jesus' ministry that point to who Jesus was and who Jesus is in our lives. Some of the activities will be based on the popular board game, Clue, and special guest appearances will be made by the famous detectives Sherlock Hymns and Jacques Clue-less.
The theme scripture is: When you search for me, you will find me; if you seek me with all your heart, I will let you find me, says the Lord."
-Jeremiah 29:13-14 a
In the afternoon the community is invited to come back and join the congregation for an ice cream social and more games and fun from 2-4 p.m. on the church lawn.
English Lutheran Church is on the corner of Grove and Jackson Streets at 111 Grove St.
