What's your position at the library?
I'm the Adult Services Coordinator.

How long have you been on the library staff?
Five years.

What is the most frequent question you are asked at the library?
Most recently, it has been, “Where are the DVD’s?” We have been moving materials around to make better use of space and to more logically organize the library – you should come check it out.

What’s your favorite author, or authors or book genre?
Historical fiction is the genre I gravitate towards, as well as a bit of scifi/fantasy.

How many books might you read in a month?
Cover to cover? One to three.

What’s your experience with e-books (good, bad, no opinion)?
That depends. I find e-books to be very handy when traveling, or when reading a fiction book.  For nonfiction, I still prefer to have the actual book so that I can more easily browse and flip through to what I want to read. I also prefer actual bookmarks or sticky notes to a digital bookmark in an ebook.

What’s your favorite movie? One where you could recite the lines with the volume turned off?
Does Les Miserables count?

Who is the first person you ever met from Bluffton?
Cindy Moser – I was part of MOPS in Colorado and wanted to continue with it, so I looked up the local contact, which was Cindy, and she welcomed me into the local MOPS.

If you wrote a book or a book series, what would be the plot?
Maybe some sort of quest of a girl trying to reunite with her family.

What was your first-ever job and how much did you make?
I worked at the small town library in the summer, shelving, checking in and out Remember when there were cards in the books the librarian had to stamp? I think I made maybe $3.65 an hour.

Did you ever take musical instrument lessons? What instrument?
Yes. Clarinet, and I played through middle school, high school and college.

What did you want to be when you were growing up, a librarian?
In grade school, I wanted to be a veterinarian or an archaeologist - like a female Indiana Jones – ha! Later on, I wanted to be a writer, librarian, florist, herbalist, master gardener, homesteader….so many possibilities. And all of these things alongside being a wife and mom.
