Here is the schedule of February arts and events taking place at Bluffton University. Events are free and open to the public unless otherwise noted.
Feb. 1 Art Exhibit: Goshen College Art Faculty Exhibit, Sauder Visual Arts Center, 9-5p.m. weekdays, 1-5 p.m. weekends, through Feb. 23.
Feb. 2 Colloquium: “Saving the Nation: War, Sex and Pious Women in Catholic magazines for Girls in Interwar Germany,” Friday Colloquium by assistant professor of history Martina Cucchiara, 4 p.m., Stutzman Lecture Hall.
Feb. 6 Forum: Fall 2017 semester experience studying in Guatemala, cross-cultural presentation Forum by Bluffton University students, 11 a.m., Yoder Recital Hall.
Feb. 6 Forum: “Identifying Novel Chemical Compounds to Inhibit the Development of Cancer,” First Tuesday Forum by Dean Walters ’19, 11 a.m., Musselman Library Reading Room.
Feb. 6 Forum: Semester experience at the Washington Community Scholars’ Center in Washington D.C., evening cross-cultural presentation Forum by Bluffton University students, 7 p.m., Yoder Recital Hall.
Feb. 7 Health and Wellness Expo: Student scholars in dietetics, nutrition and wellness will present poster sessions with demonstations and food samples, 10 a.m.-1 p.m., Musselman Library.
Feb. 8 Research Fair: Student research will be showcased in a poster-session-style event.
Feb. 9 Colloquium: “From Meh’ to Must Read’: An Insider’s Look at the Rebirth of ‘The Witmarsum,’” Friday Colloquium by assistant professor of communication, Marathana Prothro, 4 p.m., Stutzman Lecture Hall.
Feb. 11 Artist Reception: Reception for Goshen College Art Faculty Exhibit, 1-3 p.m., Sauder Visual Arts Center.
Feb. 13 Forum: “Failure and Spiritual Growth in Myth, Marvel and the Age of Social Media,” Spiritual Life Forum by the Rev. Matthew Yoder, pastor Grace Mennonite Church, 11 a.m., Yoder Recital Hall.
Feb. 15 Music Event: Love is in the Air music event, two seatings: 6 p.m. and 8 p.m., Yoder Recital Hall lobby, limited seats available, $20 per person or $150 for table of 8. Contact Jodi Diller at [email protected] for tickets and and information.

Feb. 23 Colloquium: “’Much Ado About Nothing’: Empty Space and Its Glorious Imperfections,” Friday Colloquium by professor of mathematics, Dr. Stephen Harnish, 4 p.m., Stutzman Lecture Hall.
Feb. 27 Forum: “Diversity Matters: From the Author’s Point of View,” Student Life Forum by Dr. Michelle Loyd-Paige, executive associate to the president for diversity and inclusion, Calvin College and Kevin Williams, director of residence life, Bluffton University, 11 a.m., Yoder Recital Hall.
