Police issue several arrests in January on outstanding warrants
Here is the January Bluffton Police Department docket.
January 1
- Officers responded to Bluffton Hospital ER in reference to a possible child abuse complaint. The case was forwarded to Allen County Children’s Services for follow-up and review.
January 2
- Officers responded to a non-injury traffic crash in the 100 block of Beaver Street.
January 3
- Officers arrested Cortney R. Morgan, 35, Lima, for driving under suspension following a traffic stop in the area of State Route 103 and Interstate 75 for an equipment violation. The case is pending in Findlay Municipal Court.
January 4
- A Commerce Lane business reported a theft complaint.
- Officers responded to a North Lawn Avenue residence in reference to an animal complaint.
January 12
- Officers arrested Adam R. Sweigart, 28, Bluffton, for driving under suspension following a traffic stop in the area of State Route 103 and Citizens Parkway. The case is pending in Findlay Municipal Court.
- Officers responded to a non-injury traffic crash at the intersection of Columbus Grove Bluffton Road and Napoleon Road on request from the Allen County Sheriff’s Office.
January 14
- Officers arrested Cameron M. Knerr, 27, Wapakoneta, for OVI following a traffic stop in the area of Interstate 75 at mile marker 141 for driving the wrong way on a one-way street. Knerr was also cited for driving under suspension and issued a misdemeanor citation for possession of a controlled substance. The cases are pending in Lima Municipal Court.
January 15
- Officers responded to a non-injury traffic crash in the area of Franklin Street and South Lawn Avenue. Ashleigh R. Gibson, 18, Wapakoneta, was issued a citation for failure to yield the right of way. The case is pending in Lima Municipal Court.
January 16
- Officers responded to a non-injury traffic crash in the area of Grove Street and South Main Street. Tracey A. Davis, 33, Columbus Grove, was issued a citation for assured clear distance ahead. The case is pending in Lima Municipal Court.
January 17
- An East Elm Street business employee reported an unwanted guest complaint.
- Officers arrested Shantee Chamberlain, 32, Dunkirk, on an outstanding warrant out of the Bowling Green State University Police Department.
- Officers responded to a non-injury traffic crash in the area of Rosenburger Drive and College Avenue. Jacob I. Hurst, Sharon, Pa., was issued a citation for failure to maintain reasonable control. The case is pending in Lima Municipal Court.
January 18
- Officers arrested Rebecca L. Hasting, 37, Bluffton, for driving under suspension following a traffic stop in the area of State Route 103 and County Line Road. The case is pending in Findlay Municipal Court.
- Officers responded to the Bluffton Middle School and arrested a juvenile on an outstanding warrant out of the Allen County Sheriff’s Office.
January 20
- Officers responded to a non-injury traffic crash on the southbound exit ramp of Interstate 75 at exit 142 on request from the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
January 23
- Officers arrested Chase R. Kuhlman, 25, Bluffton, for driving under suspension following a traffic stop in the 400 block of State Route 103. The case is pending in Findlay Municipal Court. During the investigation into the stop, officers also arrested Alexis Smith, 25, Bluffton, for wrongful entrustment. Both cases are pending in Findlay Municipal Court.
- Officers arrested Michael A. Ash, 30, Alger, for driving under suspension following a traffic stop in the 800 block of County Line Road for a speeding violation. The case is pending in Findlay Municipal Court.
- Officers arrested Amanda E. Osborne, 30, Independence, Mo., for OVI following a traffic stop in the area of State Route 103 and Citizens Parkway for an equipment violation. The case is pending in Findlay Municipal Court.
January 24
- Officers arrested Jovan D. McWay, 30, Lima, for driving under suspension following a traffic stop in the area of Bentley Road and Harmon Road for an equipment violation. The case is pending in Lima Municipal Court.
January 26
- Officers arrested Kendall R. Lott, 46, Lima, on an outstanding warrant out of the Allen County Sheriff’s Office.
- Officers arrested Ann M. Vorhees, 44, Lima, on an outstanding warrant out of the Allen County Sheriff’s Office.
January 27
- Officers arrested Durrell D. Parrish, 26, Lima, on an outstanding warrant out of the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office.
January 28
- Officers arrested Joseph R. Hiestand, 25, Alger, on an outstanding warrant out of the Lima Police Department.
January 29
- Officers arrested Jeffery Nichols, 25, Ada, for driving under suspension following a traffic stop in the 800 block of North Main Street for an equipment violation. The case is pending in Lima Municipal Court.
- Officers arrested Aaron C. Williams, 33, Findlay, for driving under suspension following a traffic stop in the area of South Main Street and Beaver Street. The case is pending in Lima Municipal Court.
- Officers took a report of a sexual assault from a Jackson Street resident. After the initial investigation into the complaint, the case was forwarded to the Allen County Sheriff’s Office Detective Bureau for further investigation.
- Officers responded to a non-injury traffic crash in the area of West Elm Street and North Jackson Street. Andrew J. Wentling, 46, Carey, was issued a citation for assured clear distance ahead. The case is pending in Lima Municipal Court.
