Matthew C. Brown, 25, passed away March 19, 2018 at his residence in Findlay. Matt was born September 9, 1992 in Oskaloosa, Iowa to Pastor Michael and Peggy (Mahood) Brown.
Matt graduated from Indian River Academy in Massillon, Ohio. He attended the various churches that his father ministered and enjoyed playing guitar, fishing and playing with his dog.
Survivors include his parents, Pastor Michael and Peggy Brown of Pandora; a brother, Caleb Stoll-Brown of London, Ontario, Canada; a sister, Ashley (Harley) Hicks of Orrville, Ohio; four nieces and nephews, Amelia, Charlie, Sperry and Juniper Hicks; a paternal grandfather, Charles Brown of Marysville, Ohio; and a maternal grandmother, Goldie Mahood of Spring Hill, Florida.
Matt was preceded in death by a paternal grandmother, Shirley Brown and a maternal grandfather, Lester Mahood.
Services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, March 22, 2018 at Union Chapel Missionary Church, 4869 Ada Road, Lima, Ohio. Pastors Michael Brown and Mark Bayliff officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hope House in Findlay.
