Service to Humanity scholarships
The S.H.A.N.N.O.N. Service Club of Bluffton invites any Bluffton High School
senior to apply for a "Service to Humanity" scholarship.
At least two $750 awards will be given to deserving recipients. Seniors may pick up an application form in the Bluffton High School guidance office.
The S.H.A.N.N.O.N. Service Club (Sharing Hopes And Nourishing Needs Of
Neighbors) is an entirely local, volunteer organization whose objective is to make Bluffton a better place by serving its youth, its elderly, and its needy.
Some of S.H.A.N.N.O.N.'s projects include offering these scholarships, adopting families at Christmas time, volunteering at the Mennonite Memorial Home, donating time and money to local youth and elderly organizations, providing monetary aid to families in need, organizing the sponsorship of the Main Street American Flag Project, and co-sponsoring "A Thousand Books before Kindergarten" with the Bluffton Public Library.
