Gerald Heldman retired from Ford after 40 years of employment
Gerald R. Heldman, 81, of Mount Cory, died Monday, March 19, 2018, at The Heritage. He was born in Bluffton, Ohio, on Nov. 25, 1936, to the late Ira and Mary (Sheriff) Heldman.
Gerald married Shirley Shroyer on July 23, 1956, and she preceded him in death. He later married Carol J. Kline in 1979 and she preceded him in death on April 21, 2014.
In 1997, Gerald retired from Ford Motor Company after 40 years of service.
Gerald is survived by his children, Cheryal Heldman of Tiffin, Daryal (Martha) Heldman of Tiffin, Terry (Grace) of Pandora, Brad (Patti) Heldman of Mt. Cory, Jeff (Kristy) Heldman of Mt. Cory, and Lisa (Dave) Fornof of Bluffton; 13 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
He is also survived by brother, Paul Heldman. Gerald was preceded in death by a step-son, Darren Greer; and siblings, Matt, Louis, John, Harvey, Adelbert, Marcelle, and Laura.
Friends and family may visit on Friday, March 23, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 301 Main St., Jenera.
A funeral service will be held at noon following visitation with the Rev. Alois Schmitzer III as celebrant. Burial will follow the service in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery.
Hufford Family Funeral Home, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay has been entrusted with the arrangements. Memorial contributions in Gerald’s name may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church.
