(LEIPSIC) - Bluffton softball improved to 6-2 on the season with a dramatic 2-1 road victory. Libby Schaadt belted a go ahead home run in the sixth. She also dominated the Vikings from the center circle, striking out 15 batters and limiting the hosts to just two hits on the night.
Leipsic grabbed a 1-0 lead in the third inning but Averey Rumer’s base hit in the top of the fifth borough Madison Fleece around to score and tied the game. Schaadt launched her second home run of the season in the top of the sixth. It was her only hit of the game. Aimee Ritter and Bailey Edwards also had hits for BHS.
Schaadt and battery mate Katie Prater combined to limit Leipsic throughout the night. Schaadt issued just two walks in a complete game victory and the team defense did a terrific job, surrendering zero errors on the game.
