Pirate baseball: Cayden Rayle has game-winning hit

Having not played in a week, the Pirate baseball team gave their fans a dramatic extra inning, walkoff win over Fort Jennings Wednesday evening at Kyle Luginbuhl Memorial Field. Sophomore Cayden Rayle had the game winning hit in the bottom of the eighth inning for a 4-3 BHS victory.
Kaden Reneker allowed two first inning runs but settled in on the mound going 6.2 innings. The senior struck out six Musketeers and allowed just four hits. Dakota Bricker picked up the final seven outs and was credited with the pitching victory.
Six different Pirates had hits including Brady Romick, Brice Rayle, Brayton Businger, Cayden Rayle, Reneker and Bricker. The Musketeers also had six hits.
Bluffton is now 3-5 on the season.
