Boys' tennis: Haggard 7-0 on the year, Pirates fall

(BLUFFTON) - The Pirate boys tennis team got wins from singles players Justin Haggard and Drew Wilson but fell 3-2 to Archbold Friday evening. Haggard improved to 7-0 on the season with the win at first singles. Wilson fought and scrapped for 2 hours and 15 minutes to win his third singles match, per coach Mike Hilty.
1st Singles : Justin Haggard defeated Erik Short 6-1, 6-2
2nd Singles : Christian Groman lost to Luck McQuade 6-0, 6-0
3rd Singles : Drew Wilson defeated Sam Nafizger 6-1, 1-6, 6-4
1st Doubles : Kory Strahm & Mack Burner lost to Brad Diller & Connor Hagens 6-0, 6-1
2nd Doubles : Grant Klinger & Eden Nygaard lost to Devin Witte & Denver Beck 6-4, 6-2
