Bluffton string musicians continue to make music this summer
Bluffton school musicians in the strings program will continue to make music during the summer, according to Rachael Lewis, strings teacher.
The program is free and open to students interested in continuing with their instrument in the summer. Rehearsals are in the elementary school strings room.
Summer strings moves to Wednesdays this year. Here’s the rehearsal dates and schedule:
• May 30
• June 6
• June 13 – no morning classes (afternoon fiddling only)
• June 20
• June 27
9 a.m. - Beginning strings (learning a new instrument)
9:30 a.m. - Junior high strings (former 6th / 7th graders)
10 a.m. - 6th grade strings (former 5th graders)
10:30 a.m. - 5th grade strings (former 4th graders)
11 a.m. - high school strings (upper grades)
1-1:30 p.m. - Fiddling (high school)
1:30-2 p.m. - Fiddling (middle school)
