Chamber provides an "almost free lunch" Monday noon at Common Grounds
There are several benefits belonging to the Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce. Getting an "almost free lunch," is one of them.
The chamber, in cooperation with Common Grounds, will hold its first "almost free lunch," at Common Grounds from noon to 1 p.m., Monday, Oct. 4.
According to Phil Zimmerly of Common Grounds, lunch for chamber members includes a chicken wrap and chips for $2. In addition, the chamber is picking up the tab for all chamber members drinks.
The lunch is also available to non-chamber members at $4.59 (drinks not included.)
There will be no waiting for lunch for chamber members, as the wraps will be pre-prepared. Members may come and go as they wish. Chamber lunches will be served in the back room of Common Grounds.
This is the first of three "almost free lunches," offered by the chamber this fall. Each is on the first Monday of the month. Similar lunches are Nov. 1 and Dec. 6.
"This is an additional way for chamber members to get together on an informal basis," said Fred Steiner, chamber CEO. "It's also a neat way to offer an extra benefit for members."
The Monday lunch has no program agenda. It is open for members to come and go or carry-out lunch as they choose.
Steiner said that he would appreciate members who plan to attend to send an RSPV to blufftonchamber@mail.com.
"The RSVP helps Common Grounds have a better idea of how many lunches to prepare," said Steiner.
