Annual Leaf Ceremony Oct. 9
The Armes Family Cancer Care Center, a division of Blanchard Valley Health System, will host its Annual Leaf Ceremony on Tuesday, October 9 at 5 p.m. Community members are invited to honor cancer survivors and warriors through the purchase of personally inscribed leaves to display on the John & Mary DeHaven Healing Tree at The Armes Family Cancer Care Center. The 14-foot tall stainless steel healing tree is located in the Virginia B. Gardner Healing Garden outside of the center.
Leaves are available for a minimum $500 donation and must be ordered by August 24 to be included in the 2018 ceremony. Donors will receive one maple leaf to be placed on the tree during the ceremony and a matching leaf to keep as a personal keepsake. Funds raised from the purchase of leaves will benefit The Armes Family Cancer Care Center Endowment Fund to allow for sustained technology and programming needs.
For more information on the Healing Tree or to make your donation, visit bvhealthsystem.org/healingtree. For questions, contact Sophie Miller at 419.425.5751 or [email protected].
