Lots of things are happening involving the Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce this month. Here's a summary of some of those activities and announcements.
NEW BOARD MEMBER: Daniel Tinch
Daniel Tinch, executive director of Bluffton Family Recreaion, joined the chamber's board of directors in August.
BLAZE OF LIGHTS THEME: 12 Days of Christmas
Let the window decorating and float planning begin. The theme for this year's Blaze of Lights is the 12 Days of Christmas.
2019 ARTS & CRAFTS FESTIVAL: Saturday, May 11

LIONS WAY, BENTLEY PATH
Dedication and Ribbon Cutting Celebration: 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 2, at Bluffton University practice soccer field at Augsburger and Bentley roads.
BLUFFTON FALL FESTIVAL
10 a.m.-3 p.m., Saturday, September 22. At BFR Sports and Fitness, Bluffton Hospital, Downtown Bluffton, Maple Crest, Mennonite Memorial Home and Schumacher Homestead.
SIGN UP FOR A LIBRARY CARD
September is Library Card Sign-up Month, a time when libraries nationwide remind parents, caregivers and students that signing up for a library card is the first step towards academic achievement and lifelong learning.
FALL USED BOOK SALE
The Friends of the Bluffton Public Library will hold the fall used book sale from Sept. 26-29 on the library's lower level. Refreshments will be served and all proceeds support library programs and needs.
