James Coats 1950-2018
James R. Coats, 68, died October 12, 2018, at Bridge Hospice Care Center in Findlay. Jim was born Aug. 14, 1950, in Lodi, Ohio to Glenn and Shirley (Correll) Coats. On April 6, 1974 he married Debra Coats who survives.
Jim graduated from Liberty Benton High School. He worked as a painter and also worked at Hercules Tire in Findlay. Jim was a member of Pandora Missionary Church.
Survivors include his wife, Debra Coats of Pandora; his father, Glenn Coats of Findlay; two daughters, Kara (Kelly) Ream of Pandora, Kaydra (Stephen) Buck of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; four grandchildren, Caleb Ream, Francesca Buck, Caroline Buck, Katherine Buck; a twin brother, John (Colleen) Coats of Sevierville, Tennessee, a brother, Paul (Violetta) Coats of Huber Heights, Ohio and a sister, Bertha (Ed) Clinger of Arlington, Ohio.
Jim was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Coats.
A memorial service will begin at 7 p.m., Monday, Oct. 15, at Pandora Missionary Church. Pastor Matthew Steiner officiating. Private burial will be in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Pandora. Visitation will be Monday from 5 p.m. until time of the service at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Pandora Missionary Church or to the Ohio Right to Life.
