Margaret Risser was a teacher
Margaret Louise Risser, 90, died Jan. 3, 2019, at Lima Memorial Health System. Margaret was born Nov. 30, 1928, in Gilboa, Ohio, to the late Amos and Pauline (Heuer) DeVore. On June 18, 1949, she married Louis Risser who survives.
Margaret had been a teacher and later worked for the Putnam County Human Services and finally retiring from the Allen County Human Services. She was a member of Pandora United Methodist Church and the Mid-Century Club. Margaret enjoyed reading, sewing and traveling with her husband.
Survivors also include a son, Michael (Sandra) Risser of Concord, California.
Margaret was preceded in death by a daughter, Michele Risser and a brother, Dudley DeVore.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 9, at Pandora United Methodist Church. Pastor Duane Kemerley officiating. Burial will be in Pandora Cemetery at 2 p.m. on Wednesday. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Pandora United Methodist Church.
