Julius "Jay" Robert Sanyi 1927-2010
Julius "Jay" Robert Sanyi, 82, of Bluffton died at 9:55 p.m., Oct. 19, 2010, at Birchaven Village, Findlay.
He was born Nov. 10, 1927, in Pittsburgh, Pa., to Josef and Rosalia Konyha Sanyi. On July 24, 1990, he married Wilma Zimmerman and she survives.
Mr. Sanyi was retired from the Ford Engine Plant, Cleveland. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Bluffton, a member of American Legion 536, Gilboa and a veteran of the U.S. Navy and U.S. Army Reserves, serving in World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Wilma, Bluffton; son Don, Parma; daughter, Sandra (Gerard) Papcun, Medina; son, John (Bethany) Theis, Bluffton; daughter, Judy (Mel) Fullenkamp, Anna, eight grandchildren, one great-granddaughter and a sister, Irene Stark, Ft. Pierce, Fla.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Joe and Frank; and sisters Barbara Sita, Betty Kuchta and Helen Feckel.
A private memorial service is planned. Contributions may go to Bridge Home Health and Hospice.
