Planning a veggie and flower garden?
Laurie Laird of New Leaf Landcape Garden Center, 0395 State Route 235, Ada, presents a program on spring vegetable and flower garden planning at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 2, in the lower level of the Bluffton Public Library.
The program is sponsored by the Gardeners of the Bluffton-Pandora Area and is free and open to the publicl
Laird's talk will cover several areas including:
• soil preparation
• seed and plant spacing
• which veggies grow best from seed directly in the garden and companion planting
• which plants like to grow together (tomatoes, basil and marigolds)
• and which are best spaced far apart (beans and tomatoes).
