Melinda Bowden's PromoHits, Bluffton promotional products company, has committed to donating 5% of its total product sales from January-June 2019 to four local charities.

The initiative, PromoCares, provides the opportunity for local businesses that purchase products from PromoHits to designate which of the four charities they’d like to support.

There is no extra cost to the business – the donations solely come from profits PromoHits gains from the sale of its products.

“I’ve always felt a pull to give back and as my business has grown, I’m blessed to be able to offer this opportunity to my customers to help me support these worthy organizations,” said Bowden.

The four local charities to benefit from this initiative are:
• Bluffton Community Assistance Program
• Hope House, Findlay
• Crime Victim Services, Lima and Ottawa
• St. Paul’s Community Center, Toledo.

Halfway through the six-month period PromoHits has generated more than $5,000 designated for these charities.

In July each of the charities will receive a check from PromoHits in the amount generated from customers designating which charity they’d like to see benefit.

Bowden is also interested in input from her customers regarding choosing four more local charities to partner with beginning in July. PromoHits is on track to donate more than $20,000 to local charities through the PromoCares program by year-end.
