"Help Bluffton" raises $4,974
Bluffton Diesel Service and Southgate Lanes’ “Help Bluffton” Scotch mixed doubles bowling benefit on April 20 raised $4,974 to support three local non-profits:
• Bluffton Community Assistance Corp.
• Bluffton Family Recreation
• Bluffton Child Development Center
Donations to the community assistance program will support the Bluffton food pantry. Donations to BFR support its programming. Donations to the child development center support its playground fund.
The annual fundraiser was created last year by Derek Dukes and Brandon Falk of Southgate Lanes and Zach Scoles and Jason Brown of Bluffton Diesel Service.
Last year's event "Feed Bluffton" generated over $4,000 for the food pantry. Several local businesses participated this year and last year by donating door prizes for the evening.
Representatives from each place receiving donations as well as Southgate and Bluffton Diesel Service attended (see photo).
