Quarry Farm family day is Saturday
Quarry Farm Nature Preserve & Conservation Farm hosts their sixth annual family day on Saturday, July 20, from 1 to 4 p.m.
Tour the 1853 log cabin, take a self-guided walk on the trails to count butterflies, dragonflies, amphibians, enjoy the cool shade of the gardens and woods, and visit residents of the farm animal sanctuary.
Your family day starting point will be the Seitz Family Pavilion, 1/8 mile north of 14321 Road 7L, Pandora.
A scavenger hunt will guide you along scenic Cranberry Run and through the pollinator gardens. Complete the search and get a t-shirt that you can tie-dye onsite or take home to decorate at your leisure. Cookies and cool drinks will be available in the Seitz Family Pavilion.
Admission to the event is free; tax-deductible donations are welcome.
