Letter: It's an honor serving as a Bluffton school board member

It has truly been an honor serving as a Bluffton School board member for the past 11.5 years.
I will finish my current term in December, I have enjoyed every minute of my three terms. We have an amazing community that supports not only their own children, but all children in the district.
We have custodians, cafeteria ladies, classroom helpers, bus drivers, secretaries and teachers that consider their positions at Bluffton far more than just a job, but a calling.
We have an Administration team that with every situation that presents itself, asks the question “What is in the best interest of the students.”
We have a schoolboard that never forgets why they were elected, to be the voice of the community that that they serve.
I have chosen not to run for another term, because I want another community member to enjoy this amazing opportunity. I want whomever is elected to currently have children in our district.
It was so enjoyable to be part of the board while our son, Hunter, was in school. I love this community, I love Bluffton Schools, and I love that you gave me the opportunity to serve. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
