Bluffton netters nip Bath

BLUFFTON - The Bluffton doubles tandems led the host Pirate girls tennis team to a 3-2 defeat of Kenton Tuesday evening.
With their fifth straight win, the Lady Pirate netters improved to 8-4.
Pirate junior Olivia Barnes won at second singles by a 6-2, 6-2 score.
Juniors Pearl Lewandowski and Julia Smallcomb combined to win at first doubles 6-1, 6-1.
Sophomores Libby Frazier and Ellie Nickels also won easily at second doubles by a perfect 6-0, 6-0 score.
Senior Erin Hotmire lost a close third-set tiebreaker at first singles, 10-7. The Pirate ace is 11-3 this season.
Bluffton plays at Archbold Saturday, September 21 at 11 a.m.
