BLUFFTON - Host Bluffton rallied from an early deficit to beat Ottawa-Glandorf 2-1 Saturday in a non-league boys soccer match.
The Pirates improved to 9-1-1 with the win.
Ottawa-Glandorf's Derek Crumrine scored in the sixth minute to give the Titans an early lead.
Bluffton's Brandon Good tied it in the 35th minute to make it 1-1 at intermission.
After 20 minutes of scoreless play in the second half, Kaden Basil found the back of the net in the 61st minute to give Bluffton its first lead, and the defense made it stand up.
Bluffton put 18 of its 25 shots on goal. O-G got off only three shots against the stingy Pirate defense, two of which were on goal.
Ottawa-Glandorf made 16 saves in goal while Bluffton had one save.
The Pirates travel to Ada for a key NWC showdown of co-league leaders Tuesday, September 24. Bluffton and the Bulldogs are knotted at 3-0 atop the NWC, and Ada (7-2-1) is riding a seven-match win streak.
The match is scheduled to start at 5 p.m.
