Lady Pirate spikers fall at VB

VAN BUREN - The Bluffton volleyball team dropped a four-set match at Van Buren in a non-league battle Wednesday evening to end the regular season.
The Lady Pirates dropped to 11-11 after their fifth consecutive defeat. VB took the first set 25-15, then Bluffton evened the match with a 26-24 win in set two.
But the Black Knights won the final two games by identical scores of 25-17, 25-17 to improve their record to 16-4.
Kylie Stackhouse led Bluffton with 19 kills and two blocks. Taylor Schwab knocked down 11 kills and added 14 digs.
Setter Skyler Scoles passed out 36 assists and dealt three aces. Kylie Monday came up wth 18 digs.
Haelynn Bischoff added a pair of blocks.
The Pirate reserves won the JV match, 2-0.
Bluffton hosts Pandora-Gilboa (8-10) in Div. IV sectional first round tournament play Tuesday, Oct. 15. The Pirates beat P-G 3-1 back on Aug. 22.
