Tonight's council session includes lots of financial items
Leaf pickup update: The village will continue to pick up leaves through Wednesday, Dec. 4.
Lots of financial matters make up Bluffton council's agenda tonight.
For starters, council will hear an update on 2020 airport planning. The Bluffton Airport Commission met Nov. 19. Among discussion points includes taxiway rehabilitation to be presented to the FAA next year. The village share of the estimated $600,000 project is $30,000.
Jesse Blackburn, village administrator, will inform council that the final property assessments will be mailed to West Elm Street property owners in the next two weeks. Assessments will be collected over a 10-year period along with property taxes.
Jefferson Street Phase I payment update looks like this: To date $471,981 has been paid by the village and $192,781 is funded through the Ohio Public Works Commission. Of the OPWC portion, $100,000 was grant funded.
Future project projected spending
OPWC has approved grant funding of 29% for Jefferson Street’s Phase II project, which will begin after July 1, 2020. A projected bid date in February or March.
Waste disposal bid documents/contracts and advertising is in the discussion stages. The current contract expires in June 2020.
