BLUFFTON - Host Bluffton ran out to a double-digit halftime lead and cruised to a 55-41 win over Arcadia in non-conference girls basketball action Saturday afternoon.
Bluffton led by four early and stretched the lead to 31-16 at halftime with a 20-9 second quarter. The Lady Redskins edged the Pirate girls 25-24 after intermission, but the outcome was all but decided by then.
The Lady Pirates improved to 8-1 overall behind their eighth consecutive victory. Meanwhile, Arcadia fell to 6-3 with the defeat.
Senior post Libby Schaadt led the Pirate girls with 19 points. Sophomore Kylie Stackhouse contributed 15 markers, and classmate Kylie Monday added 10.
The Bluffton girls sank 25 baskets, including 24 two-pointers and one from three-point range. The Pirate girls canned four of 11 from the charity stripe (36 percent).
The Redskin girls sank 16 field goals and six three-point baskets. Arcadia converted three of six at the foul line (50 percent).
Samantha Burnett led Arcadia with a dozen markers, while Caity Cramer added 11 points with three trifectas.

Bluffton (5-1 home) next hosts WBL foe Kenton (3-3) in a non-league contest Thursday, January 2 at 6 p.m.
The Lady Pirates have not lost since a 37-30 defeat to Cory-Rawson in the season-opener November 22.
