Elementary PTO invites families to "science night"
Want to make your own lava lamp?
The Bluffton PTO invites families to elementary science night from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, Feb. 21, at the elementary school gym and cafeteria.
Lots of free hands-on science activities are part of the evening. In addition to lava lamps, there are stations to test how fast you can throw objects of different weights using a radar gun.
Other activities include building foil boats and test how much weight they can hold, make ice cream, explore ONU’s mobile health clinic and make a water filter and then filter dirty water.
There’s also opportunities to use a large robotic claw and get your face painted.
All students who attend will receive a color-changing cup and will be entered in a door prize drawing for several fun science-related projects.
