School board issues many supplemental contracts
Bluffton school board issues several supplemental contacts on Nov. 15. Those contracts include:
- Denny Phillips, head track coach, $4,493
- Don Leader, coordinator track, $2,888
- Ryan Dunlap, assistant track, $2,246
- Dan Staley, assistant track, $2,246
- Lonny Kent, middle school track, $2,246
- Sam Fruchey, baseball, $3,530
- Dan Gillett, softball, $3,530
- Eric Fleharty, assistant softball, $2,246
- Tyler Fairchild, assistant softball, $2,246
- Jesse Sensenig, boys' tennis, $1,605

Nancy Yeager was appointed to a new seven-year term on the Bluffton Public Library board. Her term is from January 2011 to December 2017.
Student for Other Students (SOS) coordinators named were Julie Hieronimus and Kathleen Moser, $18.17 per hour, from Nov. 15, 2010, to April 28, 2011.
Two student teaching assignments were approved. They are:
- Colleen Wilson, University of Findlay, with Susan Gratz and Jacqueline Bourassa (Jan. 5-April 29)
- Nicole Mesker, Ohio Northern Unversity, with Elizabeth Cogley, (Feb. 28 to May 20)
The following substitute teacher contracts at $72 per day taught were approved:
- Christa Siferd
- Javas Mitimitu
- Brandon Buscholtz
- Christine Albright
- Anthony Singian
- Richard Herr
- Susan Fantz
- Jay Melton
- Sean McNeal
- Corinne McPheron
A long-term sub contact was issued to Linda Sycks, effective Nov. 1 (20 days at $72 per day).
Classified employee contracts were issued to:
- Larry Diller, bus driver, $14.46 per hour, first day, Nov. 22
- George Stechschulte, bus driver, $14.46 per hour, first day, Nov. 22
- Kathleen Bishop, educational aide, $12.29 per hour, first day, Nov. 22
- Daryl Shields, custodian, $14.32 per hour, first day, Nov. 24
Larry Eikenbary was issued a $1 per hour raise from his custodian rate, effective Sept. 1, 2010, as head custodian.
The boad will hold a records commission hearing at 8 p.m., Monday, Dec. 20. The board's reorganization meeting will be at 7:30 p.m., Jan. 11, 2011, in the elementary media center.
