Bethel Church of Christ 3D Robotics team advances
3D ROBOTICS team is one of 36 to advance to the Ohio FIRST Tech Challenge Championship. The team, from Bethel Church of Christ, rural Ada, competed against 111 teams to compete at to the Ohio Championship in Loveland, Ohio, on March 13-14.
“This team is only in its second season as a FIRST Tech Challenge participant. I am proud of the way the students have carried themselves at competitions. They have thought through potential robot issues and responded with grace and professionalism to the adversity they have encountered this season.” said Randy Allen, the team’s lead mentor.
The competition challenge is to develop a robot that responds to the game challenges. Team member Cai Allen, said “Our robot this year is unique because it is fast. It focuses on an element of the game that other teams haven’t.”
The team is comprised of junior and senior high students from Hardin Northern, Allen East, Cory-Rawson and Bluffton schools.
