Naomi Basinger celebrates 101st birthday
Naomi Basinger blew out 101 candles on her birthday on April 16. The lifelong Bluffton resident now lives at Hilty Home, Pandora.

Naomi was born April 16, 1919, in Lafayette, to Harry E. and Chloe (Williams) Shrider. She married Orville Basinger on July 13, 1940. Orville died on Jan. 25, 1998. Naomi had worked at Westinghouse, Lima, and retired from Triplett.
Naomi's children are Lynn (Betty) of Bluffton and Jane (Mark) Kinsinger of Pandora. She has five grandchildren, Dan Basinger, Sara Basinger Heinze, Matt (Andrea) Kinsinger, Mike (Teresa) Kinsinger, and Jason (Tammy) Kinsinger, 13 great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
