Webb Insurance recognized as a Stormwater Superstar
Webb Insurance, with offices in Bluffton and Lima, was recognized as Stormwater Superstars for their stormwater management practices by the City of Lima and the Allen Soil and Water Conservation District.
Every year, the two organizations honor businesses that put best management practices in place to protect area rivers.
Webb Insurance Agency and Bacon and Associates are this year's honorees.
Webb was recognized for reducing stormwater runoff in Lima by replacing over 25% of its total area with grass, trees, flowers, and pervious surfaces, which allow rainfall to filter naturally through to the soil. Each year these green surfaces capture over 193,000 gallons of water which would otherwise go directy down the storm drains.
The Stormwater Superstars will be honored at the Lima/Allen County Chamber of Commerce’s Real American Sunrise program at 9 a.m., Friday, April 24. Due to the stay-at-home order, this month’s Real American Sunrise will be conducted on Zoom.
