Bluffton EMS recruiting in a new manner
Bluffton EMS is approaching recruitment in a new manner.
The EMS recently reached out to graduating seniors who expressed an interest in nursing or the medical field.
“We’ve had success with a number of our members getting the leg up on their classmates by taking EMT training,” said EMS chief Jan Basinger.
Now, the EMS is extending its reach to adults who may be contemplating a change in careers.
There may be area residents affected by the economic impact of the Covid-19 crisis who are thinking of going back to school to pursue careers in the medical field.
The 140 hour EMT training not only jump starts medical knowledge, but it also allows for real time skill development while treating patients and serving your community.
There is an accelerated course offered this summer, which will allow for the entire course to be completed before the start of the fall academic session.
Persons living in, or near, Bluffton are encouraged to contact Chief Basinger at [email protected] for additional information.
