Drive-up, drop-off food drive this weekend
Riley Creek United Methodist Church, 7102 Road M, Ottawa, will conduct a drive-up, drop-off food drive on Saturday, May 2, from 9 a.m. to noon.
Pandora United Methodist Church, 108 E Washington St., Pandora, will hold a drive the previous evening from 5 to 7 p.m. Drivers will not need to leave their vehicles. Volunteers will collect what the items and put them on a truck for delivery to the food pantries.
The greatest need is for the following non-perishable items: canned meat, mac & cheese, noodles, spaghetti and sauce, tuna, peanut butter, canned vegetables, canned fruit, tissues, paper towels, toilet paper, hygiene supplies, laundry soap, dish soap, shampoo.
Cash will also be accepted. All donations will be forwarded directly to the Ottawa Food Pantry located at the Trinity United Methodist Church and the Putnam County Community Thrift Store/Food Pantry.
