Bluff’ ton eləˈment(ə)r  ˈtēCHər – Bluffton elementary teacher (noun) – a person who teaches in Bluffton schools and is described by students as kind, smart, funny, really funny, cool, good teacher, hard-working, nice, great,  amazing, awesome, good at explaining things, and good at teaching.

These descriptions were submitted by their students in anticipation of Teacher Appreciation Week, May 4-8.

The Bluffton PTO and Bluffton Icon invited elementary students to draw a picture of their teacher and provide some descriptive words about them.

All entries will be posted on the Icon this week and into next week. The panel of judges named the following winners based upon creativity and originality. The judges were selected by the PTO, who did not see the name of the contestants who submitted entries.

One winner was selected from the Kindergarten, first and second grade classes. And, one winner was selected from the third, fourth and fifth grade classes.

Each winner and the winner’s teacher will receive a 1-item, 14-inch Padrone’s pizza from the PTO and Icon.
