West central Ohio virtual prom Saturday
DJLimaOhio.com.com has teamed up with Ohio Theatre and Woof Boom Lima radio stations to help take the sting out of the school year shut down for area high school juniors and seniors.
“A Night to Remember,” a virtual online prom for West Central Ohio, is Saturday, May 9, from 8-11 p.m.
Fun 107.1 and DJLimaOhio.com’s Phil Austin hosts the event from the Ohio Theatre with DJ SNKRZ on the turntables.
There’s just one catch: they’ll be the only ones there.
There will be a live video stream, and the event will be held just like any other prom, with lights, fog and lasers.
DJs will mix up student requests, and there will be an integrated chat room online. Participants can interact with DJs, as well as each other.
The website is www.woofboomlima.com. Students can log in and register to win prizes, vote for their school’s prom king and queen and make music requests.
Throughout the night prize winners will be announced, all area kings and queens will be recognized, and the most popular requests (all radio friendly versions) will get played.
