Family Hardware now Do It Best Family Hardware
Family Hardware, 109 N. Main St., Bluffton, is switching to the Do It Best chain of businesses this week, according to Jim Basinger, store owner.
“We will offer the same products and services as always, and we will now carry Do It Best products,” he said.
These include Do It Best Look brand of paints, and Best Garden brand, which includes garden tools, sprayers and supplies.
The change-over will involve large assortment of new color paint charts in the Main Street store, in addition to several other product line changes.
“Our services will remain the same and we will continue to carry and expand our product line,” said Basinger. He added that the store intends to add hand tools later in the summer.
With the change, the business name is now Family Do It Best, said Basinger.
Basinger purchased the hardware in March 2019 and it continues to be, if not the oldest, one of the oldest continually-operating businesses in Bluffton. The hardware first opened in 1912 by Lee Greding.
Basinger is also owner of Basinger Plumbing and Heating, 3090 Road R, Pandora.
Family Do It Best business hours remain:
Mondays to Fridays 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Saturdays 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
