It's show time at the Shannon!
“I’ll take a large container of popcorn with butter and a soft drink.”
You’ve not heard this request in Bluffton since mid-March.
You’ll hear in Friday, as the Shannon Theatre reopens, according to Pete Suter of the theater, in a reopening with two laid-back oldies but goodies “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” (1986) and “Kung Fu Panda” (2008).
Here’s the movie schedule with theatre guidelines:
• Evening shows are: Ferris Bueller’s Day Off (PG-13)
Shows are every evening at 7 p.m. as well as on Friday and Saturday at 9:30 p.m.
• Matinee shows are: Kung Fu Panda (PG)
Matinees are at 1 and 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday afternoon only.
“We encourage customers to arrive early as seating is limited,” said Suter.
“Every other row is roped off, and we will have an usher to seat people.
“Customers who do not arrive together, or are not in the same family will be seated at least six feet apart, which is three seats.
“All associates will wear masks. We encourage patrons to do the same, but we do not require it,” he added.
